Colonial Motel

These is my second time staying here with my husband. This place is clean. The room is dated yes but it’s clean and it has this cozy kind of feel to it. The tvs are tube yes but I’m not staying there to watch tv. The shower pressure is great!! (It’s like my must) It’s right at the end of the strip. Can’t beat the location. The heated pool is clean. Owners were nice. Had no issues. Plus the price was great. I don’t expect to see shampoo bottles or hair dryer . I bring that stuff with me. It’s a motel. What I want is a clean room and good shower. The grounds are clean and well kept.

Good Location! Best price in town ! Heated pool is awesome. We stayed on a weekend so need to say our neighbors were a bit loud lol . But we'd definitely stay here again . Small rooms but very quaint.

At first sight, I wasn't too enthused because it is small. But after staying one night, I found I really liked it versus the bigger hotels. Yes, the rooms are small and very basic, but if you are in the Dells to have fun, you won't be in your room much anyway. But don't get me wrong . . . it is well kept & clean. The pool is great for cooling off and splashing around and plenty of chairs for lying in the sun. My biggest compliment goes out to the owner and his wife. They are very friendly and never stop working. They keep everything in tip top shape and will get you whatever you need. But one of the best attributes is that it is a couple steps from the 6 block long shopping and eating strip. . . no car necessary. Laundromat right across the street too (and that owner is super nice and the place is really clean too - couch and table for sitting). Just a quick addition . . . Monk's Bar & Grill midtown has the best burgers I've ever eaten - (the Bleu Cheese burger is to die for) Sooo, this is a no frills place, but a great price and convenient. We are coming back next year. PS - There is a convenience store 2 blocks away for anything you need.

Our family has been coming to The Colonial Motel for many years. The location is perfect, the located right downtown the nostalgic area of the Dells. The owners.. Very kind, accommodating, and friendly. The motel, always clean with such a quaint right at home feeling. We are very sad to see that the business is for sale. We can only hope that the next owners are as welcoming and that nothing here changes, it's perfect. We always know what to expect here, which is comforting, and it's what keeps us coming back. My family and i stayed recently the weekend of 6.20.25. We had nothing but a pleasant experience. Well kept rooms, right on the strip, super affordable and nice pool! The lady working the desk was super nice. My son left his brand new sweatshirt in the room at check out and she mailed it back to us :) Will def stay here again!

Mila the owner is as sweet as they come, we arrived late and she was prompt helping us move into our rooms nonetheless. The room was clean, had cute decor, a fridge and a microwave, a well working tv, a nice outdoor chair, the water in the shower was hot the whole time and had great water pressure. I cannot recommend this motel enough. I wish I could ever picture myself returning to Wisconsin Dells just so I could stay at the colonial motel again. There are a ton of identical motels in this area and it might be hard to make the choice, but if you’re thinking about staying at the Colonial Motel here is your sign that this is the right place to pick. This is our second stay this summer at Colonial and we fell in love with it! (Two adults, two kids). The best part is location and heated water in the pool! Rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a nice Bowman park half block away with playground and basketball courts and, of course, downtown Dells with shops, restaurants, entertainment and River Walk. Definitely coming back to this place again! Thank you!

Had a great experience at Colonial. Super helpful owners, clean room, free Netflix, and a killer location if you want to be close to everything. Don’t expect a Hilton but, for the money, it’s a great value. My wife and I loved our Room #26 for our little getaway to the Dells. Will definitely be back.

We stayed here for one night, on July 26, 2023. The owner was very nice , and very accommodating. The rooms are not fancy , reminds me of the old roadside hotels , but they were very , very clean , and the beds were really comfortable. The motel is in the downtown area of Wisconsin Dells , in walking distance to the shops and some attractions (Haunted Mansion , Ripley’s , etc ) , lots of restaurants and bars also in this area . The motel has a nice pool. The owner allowed us to stay parked at his motel , after check out, so we didn’t have to move our car , to a metered parking space, which saved us some money .He also told us we could use the pool for the rest of the day , if we wanted to. I highly recommend this place , we will definitely stay here again.

The room was small but comfortable the bathroom was just remodeled sheets towels and pillows were clean and smelled fresh refrigerator and am microwave worked well as the new air/heat system the only complaint is the toilet overran we weren't in the room alot so the price is reasonable the pool was fun. You can get supplied in office if needed garbage bags toilet paper soap and towels no housekeeping
